Titan Trailers UK was formed in 2007. It all began when we were looking for a trailer for ourselves and couldn’t find anything with the strength and build quaility we wanted. Added to that a horse who wouldn’t travel in a traditional forward facing trailer, and we were stuck for options.
Basically we wanted a horsebox, but in trailer form. Strength and build quality were vital. If we were involved in an accident we
wanted our horses to have a good chance of surviving.
Our trailers are certainly not lightweight (we don’t want them to be!), and we do recommend a large 4 x 4 to tow with. But vehicles such as the Land Rover Discovery or Mitsubishi Shogun can pull a
Titan Trailer fully laden with ease.
After extensive research and discussions with the DOT to ensure that Titan
trailers were built to full UK specification, the first Titan Avalanche Trailer
was produced in 2008.
We have had some fantastic feedback from our customers about how well their horses travel in the trailers; the ease
of towing combined with superb on-road stability; the comfort of having a
dressing room; ....
The only comment we kept receiving was “is it available with living?”
Hence the introduction for 2010 of the new Titan Glacier Trailer with the option
of full fitted living in the front. Built to the same exacting standards as the Avalanche model, but with even more
features as standard such as external lockers and a swing out tack compartment
to the rear.
